RAYC recognises longstanding service
The owner of The Bishopsgate Hotel in Beaumaris was recently presented with a thank you for all the hard work and support she has given the club over the last two years.
Hazel Johnson-Ollier not only caters at themed nights and after sailing on Wednesdays and Saturdays but has been a fantastic support to the members lunches which are organised on the last Wednesday of every month, Hazel, provides raffle prizes and a very reasonably priced three course lunch for members.
Hazel, a Royal Anglesey Yacht Club member herself said “I was thrilled to be thanked in such a way, the flowers are beautiful. I absolutely love doing the members lunches and in 30 years of catering have never felt so appreciated. I could not do these events however without the support of a fantastic team of helpers, in particular Annette Mather, Lesley Honnor and Joan Bowen who all deserve a special mention.
”The members lunches at the RAYC are run on the last Wednesday of every month and are extremely well attended. Anyone who is interested in attending should contact Mrs Joan Bowen on (01248) 811343.
